INNOVATION ACCELERATOR FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD

In the last decades, research and scientific evidence have confirmed that the first years are decisive for the optimal development of people. With this belief, in 2016 we joined our efforts with the Universidad Regiomontana (U-ERRE) and the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University to support the Innovation Accelerator for Early Childhood.

  • INNOVATION
    AT THE SERVICE OF CHILDREN

The Accelerator, the first of its kind in Mexico, is part of a network of researchers, professionals, and scientists focused on translating scientific knowledge into high-impact strategies.

We support the operation of the Accelerator in the model of innovation clusters. Beyond traditional academic research, we use a methodology that facilitates the generation, implementation, testing and rapid adaptation of strategies with potential to influence early childhood development

  • FIRST STEPS

Our objective is to support the strengthening of the design, execution, and evaluation of projects around early childhood development in Mexico. In 2016, we selected three projects to assist them with training, consulting and accompaniment:

Padres muy padres (Cool Dads), by the Children's Hospital of Mexico Federico Gómez, which empowers fathers of children under six months in raising them.

    • Time to play, developed by Un Kilo de Ayuda to assist rural caregivers in increasing play time with children.

    • Well-being during your pregnancy, implemented by DEI Comunidad A.C. to reduce stress in pregnant teen mothers and improve their interactions with the baby.
