How can you participate with us?
We are mainly dedicated to being in contact with the majority of the institutions in which we seek to launch an initiative. Even though this is our principal activity, we set down requests and receive proposals about specific projects in the Sustainable Development of Water Resources, Innovation, Applied Science and Technology.What type of project and initiatives are we looking for?
These are some of the characteristics that we consider when evaluating the initiatives and projects that we support:
- That they are in tune with the programs of FEMSA Foundation
- That they use resources from other sources, since we believe that this is the manner in which we can strengthen our power in making a significant difference
- That it works with other institutions which may be governmental and/or company organizations
- That it can have an impact on the greatest number of people
- That it can be reproduced in other countries
- It uses technology in an innovating manner
- That it produces measurable results
- That it generates proposals that go beyond philanthropy so that it actually provides solutions to the problem
- That it has long term objectives
- That it presents self-sustainable projects
What are some of the examples of what FEMSA Foundation does not support?
- Projects to resolve issues in places outside of Latin America
- Direct support to individuals
- Activities regarding political or religious proselytism
- Activities of protest
- Activities of moral or spiritual support
- Affiliation or sponsorship of political organizations and business representation, amongst others
- Sponsorship of profit-making events
- Non-academic student events: graduations, election of Students Assembly members. etc.
- Personal requests from FEMSA partners or shareholders
- Scientific investigations that are not related to our programs
- Participation in raffles or any type of contests
